Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud
• Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud by Katie Harnett on Amazon
Officially published just two days ago on August 15, Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud is another cute story with colorfully expressive illustrations from Flying Eye Books. Florists like the main character Ivy need flowers; every element in nature needs (meaning and) purpose. Even scripture personifies trees, oceans, rivers, and forests. Why not clouds over our heads, ground under our feet?
As the initially unhappy Ivy and sad raincloud demonstrate, friendship and cooperation can make a powerful difference! The narrative nicely gets the reader imagining, but the full color pictures on every page that look as if they're about to burst out of the book and come to life are the best feature. This would be a wonderful gift to your own kids or grandkids, for nephews, nieces, or neighbors.
