• Here's my January summary; each of these events has its own blog. Later in the month I was fluish for a while so I didn't go anywhere. Looks as if I need to start masking again in public.

• On the Day of Epiphany 06 January, I visited the Museum of Contemporary Art with a friend and experienced my first ever ride in a Waymo.

• On Sunday 11 January, I guest preached for the Baptism of Jesus.

• A sojourn to Santa Monica Third Street Promenade and Pier the end of Route 66 on Tuesday 13 January.

• The Pacific Wheel is the first and only solar-powered ferris wheel in the world. Does that sound Californian?

• Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has far and away the best Hazelnut Frappes.
